Pizza Pie!!

Tonight we made our own pizza for the second time in a couple of weeks. However, this time I tried my hand at making my own pizza dough. It's very simple and a simple google search for pizza dough will turn up a lot of recipes. It was so good and I plan on trying a few more recipes and really perfecting a recipe. I can't eat cheese because of severe lactose intolerance so these goat cheese pizzas really satisfy my pizza craving.

Here's my pizza pie. M's had cheese.

That's goat cheese, artichoke hearts, capers and sauteed onions on marinara sauce. Last pizza had kalamata olives as well. Yummy.

MIA!

I know I have been MIA.

It's for a variety of reasons.

1) Lack of knitting progress.
a) baby blanket slowness-I have two more repeats to go and it just won't be interesting to anyone else until it is done-however, the baby has been born and the deadline I have now set for myself-this weekend (also the birthday weekend for me) looms.
b) Ripping and reknitting the same damn jaywalker over and over again because I keep losing stitches into the ether
c) Lack of Progress on a surprise project that I couldn't put here anyways

2) The Red Sox in the playoffs

3) Wedding planning-Yesterday we went to the most useless meeting ever. Vinwood Catering, I was NOT impressed.

4) The job getting more exciting and busy-not that I work on weekends yet, but it's getting busier-I didn't knit at work before this, but being busier at work makes it seem like I have less time at home.

5) Family birthday time! Little brother, little sister, me, and now the niece!

I cast on for the swatch for the EZ Baby Surpise Jacket for my cousin's baby in a pretty lavender color. I hope I get guage!

Surprisingly (not) little knitting going on...

Ok, so I finished the knitting on my brother's scarf, and I whipped up that hat in the last week. Ends still need to be woven in and I loathe that. It'll get done this weekend and then sent off Tuesday-I think the post office closes on Columbus Day-as do the courts in NH, so I will not be working on Monday! Yay for knitting time! I plan on working on baby stuff that day-the Elizabeth Zimmerman baby surprise jacket for my cousin's soon to be baby and the baby blanket I have not touched since this summer for my step-brother's soon to be baby.

There was a playoff game to attend (Go Sox) and therefore little knitting. Beckett rocks.

Tonight the Sox play again and hopefully they win. I play poker tonight too, yay!

In other knitting news, the jaywalkers might be frogged to make them in the bigger size, because I have size 9 feet. Those are big feet people.

I also picked up a copy of the British magazine Knitter's and who should I see in there as the featured reader letter, but NoBones! Great job Ellie, on the dressing gown. It looks fabulous on you!

My brother's hat is finished!

I did this hat in a record amount of time for me. It is long overdue and I am just waiting for me to finish the scarf to be done so I can send it off to my brother in Portland, Oregon.

This is the progress I made on my Jaywalkers from Grumperina. I like this pattern, it is super easy to memorize and knits.

Secret Swapper Package!!!

Hi, hopefully larudden from knittinghelp.com forums is reading this. She sent me the most amazing swap package. I have had two amazing swappers, NoBones and larudden. They both sent me amazing packages.

Here is the package from larudden. She went with an amazing sock (Sox) theme that centered around socks and baseball and fall colors. She sent me a wonderful note explaining it all.
