No, I am not closing down the blog, but we did close on our new townhouse/condo/home on Friday! It's just a relief, because, according to our realtor, this sale was a difficult one because of the sellers' shenanigans. It's just a relief. I can't wait to be moved in.
We did a fair amount of damage to our bank accounts this weekend as a result and I didn't do a whole lot of knitting, but I did manage to get the bottom stitch on the Chuppah DONE (or you could say closed). That's 154 rows times 312 stitches equals 48, 048 stitches just for that stitch pattern. That's not counting the roughly 300 stitches per row for 50 rows for the bottom border.
I have the middle section to do, a beautiful tree pattern called the Candle Tree. I'm not starting that however for a couple of weeks I think because I could use a break from this project for a little bit. It's coming at the perfect time as well, because we are in the process of moving and it is not a portable project at all. I will be working on another large project instead and one small one. The large one is my sister's baby blanket and the small one is M's first pair of hand knit socks.
